We have met with community members and organizations throughout the process to ensure this plan reflects the needs\, priorities\, and vision of our residents. \nNow\, we need your help to make it official. \nJoin us on June 24\, 2026 at 4:30 PM for the Community Action Plan Vote-In Meeting. With your vote\, we can officially adopt the Neighborhood Action Plan and move forward toward implementation and our community-wide release celebration in August. \nLocation:\nTotal Health Care\n3540 S. SUMMARY:Polluted by Design: Documentary Series Film Screening
DESCRIPTION:You are invited to the launch of Polluted by Design: Histories of Waste and the Struggle for Environmental Justice in South Baltimore — a four-part documentary series created by students in the Environmental Justice Workshop at Johns Hopkins University and Cornell University\, in partnership with the South Baltimore Community Land Trust (SBCLT). The project was developed with the guidance of instructors Chloe Ahmann and Anand Pandian and filmmaker Andrea Conte. \nTuesday April 28\, 6-8pm \nGilman 50\, Johns Hopkins Homewood Campus (3400 N. Charles St.\, Baltimore\, 21218) \nAcross Hawkins Point\, Fairfield\, Westport\, and Curtis Bay\, these films expose how waste management policies and unchecked industrial growth have endangered communities across South Baltimore\, while amplifying the work of organizers fighting to reclaim their neighborhoods’ futures. \nThe evening will feature a full screening of the series (approximately 60 minutes)\, followed by reflections and discussion with community leaders\, organizers\, and policy advocates on what environmental justice requires from city and state institutions today.
